Switcheo sits in the power circuit of each machine. To start it, a member taps their card, key fob, or phone. In under a second, Switcheo checks whether that person has completed the required instruction for that specific machine. Instructed and authorised: the machine starts. Not instructed, or instruction lapsed: it stays off — and the attempt is logged with their identity, the machine, and a timestamp.
